Description:

A short clip about history of Korean National kit from '86 to '07. '86 World Cup Kit First trip to World Cup since 1954 - 32 years of wait pretty much came to an disappointment. Losing 2 games and drawing 1, however, they did manage to score against teams like Italy and Argentina. V-necked, plain red with the flag, worn by Cha Bum-Kun and Huh Jung-Moo, it all sums up to be a classic kit. '90 World Cup Kit Almost same as 86 just different maker. Nothing much to say about their performance other than Hwang Bo-Kwan's free-kick goal and WC debut for Hong Myung-Bo and Hwang Sun-Hong. '94 World Cup Kit USA 94 will always be the classic WC, the heat, the kits, the drama all adding up to an unforgettable summer. From Hong Myung-Bo's free-kick to Seo Jung-Won's upper-cut celebration as Korea tied against Spain, these moments will live with me forever. As for the kits, it was alright. '96 Kit Nike's first kit for the Korean National. Worn at the Atlanta Olympics. Pretty much an ephemeral kit. '98 Kit Worn during the 98 World Cup qualifiers, this kit is one of my all time fav. The distinctive blue and white stripes conjure up happy memories of dramatic 2-1 victory over Japan during the qualifiers. They have shown some of the finest football moments while wearing this kit. '98 World Cup kit Worst kit ever. Such discordant match of colors made my eyes sore along with their performance at the World Cup. '02 World Cup kit Replaced Korean flag with KFA emblem, this kit is very much everyone's favorite. Their first WC win came while wearing this kit, went on winning over Portugal, Italy, and Spain. Hiddink's 'Hot-Pink' warriors would give the performance of their lives, reaching to a historic semi-finals. '04 Kit Another Nike's failure. Famously known for resembling lotto numbers in circle, all national teams with Nike kits at that time looked the same. Maybe with the exception of Croatia's checkerboard pattern.... '06 World Cup kit Made with drysphere technology, the kit was made to resemble Korean traditional costume. Dark blue font on Red made it hard see their names and number. Their performance wasn't bad either: first away WC win, draw with runners-up France, and highest points obtained w/4, it was quite an improvement... BGM: Tacopy - Glory Days
