Description: This is a black pine about 37 inches (3 feet) long. Her name is spaz because she is very jumpy most the time. I managed to get a video while she was calm. She seemed to be attracted to the camera. |

GRANDSTYLE166 ::: Favorites 2007-12-20 20:47:01 Everyone is a snake expert these days. If you bought it from a pet store, 95% of the time staff dont even know what their carrying. It may very well be a black pine, I could be wrong..the video is a little blurry so I cant make out all the detials. I have 2 black pines myself and have keept snakes for about 5 years. To my knowledge, it looks more similar to a black king. But their is one definite way to find out if it is, or isnt. If its scales are keeled is a black pine. __________________________________________________

GRANDSTYLE166 ::: Favorites 2007-12-20 00:24:43 That doesnt look like a black pine. More like a Black king snake. Its scales are to shinny, and his head doesnt come to a sharp point like most black pines sport. Not to mention, its also missing the faint white lower jaw and light blotching near the tail. Even at that age all those things are visable. I think you got a king there dude. __________________________________________________
